Disney is back with yet another soulless cashgrab remake of one of their beloved classics. This time it is The little mermaid, but this time they knew they had a stinker on their hands, so they applied the Captain Marvel method of PR campaigning. Instead of going for all the nostalgia, they came out early with the "controversial" casting of a black Ariel, which immediately got all the kneejerk ractionaries on youtube to start pumping out video after video after video. Now they had created automatic buzz for a movie that otherwise would have been a complete bust at the boxoffice.
Did I mention that that Disney is one of the most evil corporations in the world?
