In one of the most baffling situations of 2026, I actually don't hate Amazon's Masters of the universe re-boot. I actually kind of like it. It feels like the most generic PG-13 action adventure movie of 2014, but without any of the Franchise building cynicism of that era. It's like they actually wanted to make a good movie... but not much more.

There were two big horror movie releases this month... and we picked the wrong one. Passenger is a great idea fora short film, but it becomes incredibly boring, even at a meager 88 minutes of runtime. Do yourself a favor, check out Obsession instead of Passenger. Getting bogged down in dumb details that takes away from the social commentary and hurting the film overall. In this in depth movie review, or casual video essay if you will, we break down the subtext of the film. we also discuss how the social commentary gets diluted by the film makers inabillity to pick between social satire and horror comedy.

I am talking about this movie against my will, but... maybe it isn't as terrible as its predecessor? Maybe there is actually some quality craft and writing gone into this. Maybe?

In preparation for the 20th anniversary, and the release of the long awaited sequel, I watched The Devil Wears Prada for the first time. Most people like it, some would go as far as calling it a classic. Me? I had a mental breakdown. Few movies have made me as furious as The Devil Wears Prada. Miranda Priestly is not someone to look up to, she is a vile and despicable parasite. She is like Patrick Bateman, but she hides her psychopathy better.
